Founded in 1967 through the acquisition of the Ferodo brake plant in São Roque / SP, Jurid Friction Materials started its activities in Brazil, operating in the automotive auto parts markets (JURID heavy duty replacement aftermarket, JURID spare parts and OE) (footwear for light commercial aircraft), rail (shoes for trains and subways) and motorcycles (JURID shoes for light motorcycles, in the OE market).
In 1982, the activities began to be made in the new plant in Sorocaba.
In 2014, Federal-Mogul acquires Sorocabas plant and dedicates itself exclusively to the automotive market, with the production of automotive brake pads of the STOP brand, an economical line with competitive price and quality, Premium JURID line, with quality and high performance, in Jurid brand we also have Shoes, brake fluids (DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1) and synthetic lubricant for brakes, BL-20.

In the OE / OES market, it produces brake pads for light, medium and heavy vehicles.

In 2018, Federal-Mogul joint venture with Fras-le, forming Jurid do Brasil Sistemas Automotivos Ltda, maintaining and improving production at the highest levels of quality to meet the main requirements of vehicle assemblers and aftermarket.
